Oak parquet flooring newly fitted in this Saltford family home

A few months ago we were asked by a family in Saltford, just outside of Bath, to source and fit some beautiful parquet flooring. The flooring was to make a feature piece, connecting the hallway with the modern study room on the ground floor. We had crafted some bespoke bedroom cabinets a couple years previous and were asked back to assist the couple on their latest renovation project which involved a total redecoration of the lower floor.

After fitting the flooring, the couple set about redecorating their space with furnishings, paint and wallpaper and a few weeks ago I returned to see the finished results.

Modern design & high quality finishes

The results looked wonderful. Very classy with pops of colour and playful decor. The study space had been painted in a dark aqua green which really complimented the natural look of the oak parquet flooring, which we fitted. Some neutral wooden furnishings were added with a couple colourful accessories.

The radiators and skirting boards were painted white as well as the fitted cabinet that was present in the room. In the hallway, the family had opted for a playful palm tree print wallpaper on the interior wall, which worked well with the aqua green of the adjacent space.

Just like this project, all our wooden flooring is sourced sustainably and we only use a high performance oil coating on our ranges.
