Accoya front door for a modern family home near Bath

A few months ago we were asked by a family in Saltford, near Bath, to help them with the renovation of their home. Alongside fitting some beautiful parquet flooring throughout their ground floor, we were also asked to craft a unique front door. A beautifully made and finished door really can lift the face of a home, and this was to be no different.

Like all of our external doors, we crafted this one in the traditional way—with full mortise and tenon joints. We used Accoya® timber, an impressive timber which is highly sustainable and comes with an unprecedented fifty year guarantee.

While traditional in creation, its design was modern—with a single glazed panel in the centre. The door was fitted with cutting edge glazing and draught proofing technology, to ensure it met the most stringent thermal efficiency demands. We also supplied and fitted the finest locking ironmongery, to ensure the door performed as intended. A beautiful but secure exterior door.
