Our next project in the making: Modern kitchen with slab doors and a Corian counter top

Posted by Bath Bespoke on 17 April 2018

Alex and Tom have just finished the concept designs for our next kitchen project, and I’m excited to share the CAD video which they created. These videos help the team and our clients visual the project, allowing us to experience the flow of the kitchen and ensure it perfectly blends functionality and aesthetics, before we start making it.

Take a look at the video

Modern design and appliances

This modern kitchen features a stunning white Corian counter top with Corian sit back profile handles on the painted slab front doors. It’s an ultra modern look, and Corian is an incredibly durable material – perfect for a functional space. The cabinets will be handcrafted from birch ply and will be fitted with stainless steel Blum drawer boxes. There’s also a Space Tower larder unit adjacent to the twin Sub Zero fridges, which provides a range of storage solutions. We’ll be crafting cabinets for an integrated oven and coffee maker, as well as fitting an under mounted Kohler stainless steel sink. The bespoke oak extractor fan will sit above a large range cooker, and will be crafted with internal storage space and hinged doors. Finally, one of the most exciting elements will be the solid oak cantilever breakfast bar which will be attached to the Corian topped kitchen island! A beautiful and inspired blend of functions, materials and textures.

Into the workshop

Now the designs have been finalised, Alex will be drafting up the technical drawings and will be passing these on to the team in the workshop. We’ll be starting to craft this one in the next couple of weeks. I’ll be sharing some updates on this project on our socials, so keep an eye out.
