Our process

We take great pride in every project we work on, and from start to finish our entire team works closely in partnership with you…

Hartley Farm coffee

1. | Get in touch!

It starts with a good old-fashioned chat (over the phone, via email or video call, or call into the studio for a coffee) to understand what you’re looking for, your ideas and the scope of the project.

From this, we can give you a guide price.

2. | Site visit

Next, providing our guide price is in the right ballpark, we’ll come to you.

We’ll visit you to develop design ideas, take measurements and share our own thoughts on the project to make sure we’re getting the best from all elements.

3. | Design drawings

After this, we develop three dimensional, CAD drawings to put your design into context.

We then work with you to refine the design and make informed choices on materials, fittings, finishes, ironmongery and all the practicalities.

(Crucially, we can fill you in on the implications of the various options available so you can make informed choices at every stage, which means you shouldn’t need to compromise on finishes or details further down the line.)

Next, we’ll invite you into the studio and workshop to finalise these designs and make sure your design works for you, covering off the real nitty-gritty.

What will you keep where? How many drawers do you need? Will you be able to reach those top cabinets?

Every design we draw up is customised to each individual client, bespoke in every aspect, to make sure it integrates seamlessly into your space, enhancing daily life without bringing any accompanying annoyances…

5. | Into production

Once you’re happy, we’re happy. And we get together technical drawings for our workshop team to pick up the mantle and take your project into production.

Overseen by James, Tom and Brett, one cabinet maker is allocated per job so you can be sure one person has dedicated consistent time, care and attention to your project and the dialogue between the designers and production team carries through until the last detail, refining and smoothing any rough edges remaining with a fresh pair of eyes.

6. | Delivery & installation

The final furlong. Dan will lead the team on the onsite installation, where your project is delivered in its components parts and carefully installed.

Working closely with design and production teams to understand the intricacies of your space and existing details, he will ensure your design is brought to life with skill, care and an attention to detail that knows no bounds.
