Contemporary Interior in a Georgian Home
Project Overview
We were pleased to be chosen by CaSA architects to work alongside them on the design and build of this period apartment in Bathwick. Our work included new joinery - windows and doors - in a combination of very traditional and uber contemporary styles.
The sliding patio doors open fully to create a harmonious indoor-outdoor space.
This property on Bathwick Hill, Bath was totally transformed from a 1970’s flat space. All of its architectural features were hidden behind textured wallpaper and a total rip out revealed panelled ceilings and unique period mouldings. We used these as inspiration for our new joinery and cabinetry to create a contemporary interior in this Georgian home.
Contemporary Interior in a Georgian Home
Alongside crafting new doors and windows, we were also asked to design and craft a new contemporary kitchen for this Georgian home. Our bespoke kitchen combined slab doors with routered pull details, Silestone worktops, bespoke stainless steel detailing and a high gloss finish. The sliding patio doors also opened fully to create a harmonious indoor-outdoor space (weather permitting).
Our bespoke bathroom work included using plenty of mirrors to create space and light, and mixing materials such as walnut and Corian to continue the theme of the property. We worked closely with CaSA architects on this project—an experienced and award-winning design studio working out of Bath and London.
