Country Farmhouse Renovation

Nestled in a truly beautiful valley between Box and Corsham, the full renovation of this farmhouse was a pleasure to carry out.

This country farmhouse renovation was carried out in stages, with bathroom and furniture first, followed by a conservatory and kitchen. We built a 6m wide oak staircase with integrated drawers for the bathroom-come-dressing room, with a traditional style vanity unit sitting opposite. The extension contained bespoke framework with tongue and grooved panelling, an aluminium and zinc roof with Low E glass and solid European oak french doors opening to a breathtaking view down the valley. We made flush bi-folding doors into a ‘cold room’ that gave eco friendly naturally low temperature storage.

In the bedrooms we manufactured and installed bespoke fitted wardrobes in farmhouse styles, with some clever storage features.

Kitchen

The kitchen was an inspired design by our client, with a little help from us. The theme was very much ‘rustic’, with a huge AGA, exposed brick piers, plenty of oak, and some hand-carved hardwood, as well as butcher’s block with metal strapping. The theme is perfect for the home and provides a hugely practical space. Introducing different types of furniture into kitchens, rather than all matching doors, can really work well when done thoughtfully.

We were really pleased to have been part of this project which now provides an idyllic country home and business for our clients. Credit to Adam Calkin for his inspired and unique artistic finishing throughout.
