Handcrafted, bespoke fitted furniture<\/h2>\n

From bookcases and libraries to alcove cabinets and home offices, all our custom-made furniture is designed and created in-house by our skilled designers and experienced craftsmen using sustainable materials.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re adept at working around the intricacies and unusual lines of period properties or can help bring character to new builds. Our dedication to considered design and high-quality craftsmanship in handmade furniture know no bounds.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve brought together some of our favourite fitted furniture projects from over the years\u2026<\/p>\n

Design to span the centuries<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Alcove<\/a>The ambition within this Georgian terraced house was to create a panelled, fitted library<\/a> to act as a home office with complementary cabinetry running through to the adjacent living room to ensure a consistent aesthetic through the space.<\/p>\n

Wall panelling wrapped its way around the room, introducing period character and helping to blend alcove cabinetry seamlessly within the scheme. Alcove cabinetry provided enclosed storage to keep the space clutter-free, while open bookshelves were back-lit with dimmable LED lighting to offer both display space as well as mood lighting.<\/p>\n

A space to make and play<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Built-in<\/a>Making the most of a light, bright, expansive hallway space, the brief was to create an engaging and fun area for kids to make and play.<\/p>\n

The conversation began with pegboard shelving and a soft, natural colour palette and evolved to encompass generous storage for playroom favourites<\/a>. Pegboard shelves allow flexibility and fun whilst keeping crafting essentials easily accessible, a top line of generous cupboards provide ample storage for games and toys and base cupboards\u00a0(housing wooden crate drawers hidden behind sliding doors) are ready for an array of craft materials.<\/p>\n

Tranquil city-centre living<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Bespoke<\/a>The centrepiece of this elegant Georgian apartment boasting a myriad of secret doors and concealed spaces was a custom \u2018sleep sanctuary<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n

\n

This wasn\u2019t something we were familiar with but the concept is appealing: a self-enclosed sleeping area, fully soundproofed and blacked out to enhance sleep quality in a city centre.<\/p>\n

Nestled behind folding doors, this sanctuary avoided the need for a bedroom in the apartment; instead, the clients have a space to sleep, which can be opened up to reveal an astonishing living room in the mornings with views to the garden. During the day, the sanctuary is closed off and disappears into the walls of the living room.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Modern living<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Built-in<\/a>For this light and airy space, we were commissioned to create matching, built-in alcove storage<\/a> to house a 55\u2033 television and AV equipment, along with areas for display and books. The cabinetry needed to work to the scale of the space and contemporary styling was preferred to suit the room.<\/p>\n

A clean, slab door design with minimal detailing was developed incorporating ventilated cabinetry (to ensure the enclosed equipment wouldn\u2019t overheat), concealed soft-close mechanisms on the base cabinets and sliding doors to house the television \u2013 a much less obtrusive alternative to traditional hinged doors.<\/p>\n

Fitted library<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Bespoke<\/a>Tucked away behind two imposing pillars in a Grade I listed townhouse, a library bookcase<\/a> was designed to make use of this difficult-to-reach space. Handcrafted from tulipwood and FSC Accoya and finished with square edged mouldings (to offer a nod to its Georgian context) it went on to house the family’s extensive book collection.<\/p>\n

As well as its impressive size and aesthetic, the library also included a secret doorway which could be opened up to access a small storage room behind (this clever feature required a bespoke pivot system to allow the door to open and close in place) and a custom-made library ladder to reach the top shelves.<\/p>\n
