Fitted Bedroom Furniture – Lansdown, Bath
Posted by Tom Jones-Marquez on 21 January 2016
The elegant slopes of Lansdown on the North side of Bath boast an impressive mix of terraced heritage cottages, grand villas and detached houses nestled behind high walls – the area also has a smattering and new-builds which catch the eye amongst all the Georgian architecture
Our client on this project had purchased a substantial new-build and asked us to design and build a set of fitted bedroom furniture in an elegant style. The simple interior of the room provided a great backdrop for the fittings, which served to add character to the space. We included mirrored doors to help make the space feel lighter which featured a delicate arrangement of glazing bars in a cross-pattern. Adding features like this to mirror-glass is a great way of breaking up the light and adding interest – take a look at a circular pattern we’ve integrated into a design.
The internals were made in oak and the doors spray finished in Farrow & Ball’s Cornforth White. Following the successful installation of the wardrobe we also made two matching cabinets to sit either side of the bed, which completed the look.
This job was designed and built by Bath Bespoke’s two director’s Tom Jones-Marquez and James Etheridge.
