Environmental Responsibility
Our Approach
Responsible craftsmanship has been part of Bath Bespoke from the very beginning. From the materials we choose to the way we operate our workshop, we are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our work while creating furniture and joinery designed to last for generations.
Our Workshop
Our workshop is powered in part by solar energy, helping to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and lowering the carbon footprint of our manufacturing process. During the colder months, wood waste generated through production is used to heat the workshop via a Clean Air Act-compliant wood-burning system, ensuring that materials are put to good use rather than sent to landfill.
We also work closely with local businesses wherever possible. Any surplus sawdust is supplied to a nearby farm where it is reused as animal bedding.
Thoughtful Material Choices
We source only FSC® or PEFC-certified timber, ensuring the materials we use come from responsibly managed forests. Alongside traditional hardwoods such as oak and walnut, we are an Accoya® Approved Manufacturer, using one of the most durable and sustainable timber products available for external joinery, windows and painted furniture.
We continually review new materials and technologies that can improve durability, reduce waste and extend product lifespan. This includes innovative composite decking manufactured from recycled plastics and FSC-certified wood fibres, alongside low-VOC paints and environmentally responsible finishing products.
By choosing high-quality materials designed to last, we create furniture and joinery that not only performs beautifully but reduces the need for future replacement, helping to minimise waste over the lifetime of each project.
