A well-made timber floor has a lasting impact on a space. At Bath Bespoke, we design, supply and fit wooden flooring that feels considered and cohesive, tailored to the character of each project.

We work with both solid and engineered timber, selecting the right construction for the setting. Engineered oak is often favoured for its stability and compatibility with modern living, while solid wood offers a more traditional approach with depth and longevity. Layout plays an equally important role, from simple wide planks to herringbone and chevron, as well as more bespoke patterns developed for individual schemes.

Every floor is carefully sourced, finished and installed by our team, with a focus on quality, durability and responsible materials. The result is a surface that not only looks refined on completion, but continues to improve with age.

  • Planks

    Classic and understated, plank flooring is the most versatile way to work with timber. Long, linear boards emphasise the proportions of a space, whether that’s widening a narrow room or bringing a sense of calm continuity to larger, open areas.

    We can make a range of board widths, lengths and finishes, from clean, contemporary layouts to more characterful, rustic arrangements. Each floor is carefully considered and installed to suit the architecture of the room, resulting in a timeless, balanced foundation for the rest of the interior.

    Herringbone

    A timeless pattern with a softer, more traditional feel than chevron, herringbone is created by laying rectangular boards in a staggered, interlocking arrangement. The result is a subtle sense of movement that adds depth and interest without overpowering the space.

    It works well across a range of interiors, from period properties to more contemporary settings, bringing texture and character underfoot.

    Chevron

    Defined by its clean, angled lines, chevron flooring introduces a sense of movement and precision to a space. Boards are cut and laid to meet at a point, creating a continuous V-shaped pattern that feels both classic and contemporary.

    It works particularly well in rooms where you want to draw the eye through the space or add a subtle layer of detail without overwhelming it. Carefully set out and expertly installed, a chevron floor brings structure, rhythm and a refined finish underfoot.

    Bespoke

    For projects that call for something more individual, we can create bespoke flooring tailored to the architecture of the space. This can include custom board widths and lengths, considered laying angles, or the introduction of borders, inlays and mixed formats.

    Each floor is developed in response to the building, ensuring it feels integral rather than applied. From subtle refinements to more distinctive designs, the result is a floor that is unique to the project and quietly enhances the character of the home.

We work closely with trusted suppliers to source FSC® and PEFC® certified timber, ensuring quality, consistency and responsible provenance throughout the supply chain.

Each floor is carefully specified, finished and installed by our experienced team, creating a surface that not only looks beautiful on completion but continues to develop character with age.

  • We make bespoke solid and engineered oak flooring, including traditional boards, wide-plank flooring, parquet and patterned floors. Because our flooring is made to order, we can tailor the dimensions, grade, colour and finish to suit the property and the wider interior scheme.

    We can also produce matching timber elements such as stair treads, risers and nosings, creating a consistent finish throughout a project.

  • Yes. We can develop bespoke colours and finishes to complement the character of the property, existing timber or a wider interior scheme.

    Our samples are prepared by hand, allowing us to refine the tone and finish before the flooring is produced. This can be particularly useful when flooring needs to work alongside bespoke kitchens, furniture or other joinery we're making for the same project.

  • Yes. We have extensive experience working in period and listed properties, where the proportions, character and existing materials of the building often call for a more considered approach.

    We can create new flooring that feels appropriate to its historic setting, work with reclaimed timber where suitable, or develop a bespoke finish that complements existing floors and architectural details.

  • Yes. Alongside traditional plank flooring, we can create parquet and patterned timber floors, including herringbone and other bespoke layouts.

    The dimensions, timber selection and finish can all be tailored to the room and the character of the property, rather than being limited to standard off-the-shelf formats.

  • Yes. We can manage the process from initial specification and sampling through to manufacture, finishing and installation, giving you a single team throughout the project.

    We can work from an established specification or become involved earlier to help develop the timber, board dimensions, pattern and finish, producing samples for approval before manufacture.

  • Our workshop is based just outside Bath, and we undertake bespoke timber flooring projects throughout Bath, Somerset, Wiltshire and the wider South West, as well as working on projects in London and across the UK.
