Grey Shaker Kitchen
It’s a modern take on the shaker kitchen.
Differing in form from a ‘classic shaker style’ kitchen, this grey Shaker kitchen was designed with the classic shaker door proportions, but with no frames on the cabinetry. The doors were ‘full overlay’ – meaning only the doors show when everything is closed. It’s a modern take on the shaker style and works well with certain kinds of appliances.
Considered designs
Our retiring clients had waited a long time for their dream kitchen and we were really pleased to be part of this important development to their home. The design took almost a year but this meant that every detail was considered and the Miele directors could have another nice holiday – this was a singing and dancing hi tech kitchen!
Sustainable materials
We used sustainable birch ply faced with crown cut European oak carcasses, lipped in solid oak. The fittings were all Lifetime Guarantee soft closing Blum, concealed. Doors were entirely hardwood and spray finished in our anti-scratch coating to a 10% sheen. Worktops were in Quartz and the Wolf hob sat beautifully in the context. We designed a small breakfast bar for morning coffee and papers. We were also commissioned to manufacture a Corian utility room adjacent to this space.
